This policy explains what Live Transcribe (the app) collects and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Speech is transcribed locally in your browser using its built-in speech recognition. The app never records, uploads, or stores the audio itself.
When you ask for a summary, an overview, or an answer, the current text transcript is sent to our server, which forwards it to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate the response. This text is processed to answer your request and is not stored by us afterwards.
To use the AI features you sign in. We store your email address, your plan (free or Pro), and simple usage counters, through our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not store your conversations or transcripts.
Paid subscriptions are handled by Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. Your payment details are entered on their checkout and are never seen or stored by us. We receive only your subscription status.
You are responsible for having the necessary consent from all participants before recording or transcribing any conversation, as required by the laws of your location.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your email, plan, and usage counters.
